Overdue  

We request things from CAPREIT that we know you want and that will make the building a better place to live. 

In some cases things are agreed to but they never seem to happen. In other cases requests are turned down. This page is here to keep track of the things that still need doing, and the things that CAPREIT declined to do. 

We make these requests in quarterly meetings.

 

  • Having quarterly meetings is agreed but not actioned. CAPREIT requested that we hold quarterly meetings (i.e. every 3 months) in September 2018.

  • They have not followed this schedule.

  • The next meeting was 4 months later (January 2019), then 3 months later (April 2019) and then pushed out to at least 5 months (it might take place in September 2019).

Outstanding/Incomplete Requests

Despite prodding CAPREIT, the progress is exceptionally slow on these items. Two items have been completed in the table below. The curb cut at the front door has been installed. The work on this was completed on November 6 2019. It was agreed to on September 5 2018. This item took 427 days to complete. In a meeting in December 2019 CAPREIT agreed to have the contractor return to fill in a small trench that was left by the contractors where the curb cut meets the asphalt. The GEUCR bin was removed on December 5, or 272 days after it's removal was agreed (March 8 2019).

Paint At Existing Curb Cut

   Paint on ground to prohibit parking in front of existing curb cut at west end of

   building. Many cars park in front of the curb cut, blocking it.

   Will reduce confusion on part of drivers.

Clothing Bin Removal

   Clothing bin will be removed. (GEUCR is not a CRA registered charity.)

   This is a result of the petition presented to CAPREIT.

   CAPREIT to email dates for a lobby event to introduce Tenant Portal - online work

   order system.

   take place. Although garage cleaning is done, this item is about lack of follow up

   on promised communication.

   CAPREIT to wash windows. Bedroom windows washed for first time since

   November 2017. We are still waiting...25 months since last washed!

Tire Pump

   Tenant Association requested tire pump in garage for cars and bikes.
