A Serious Lack Of Snow Removal

The 2017/18 winter has been very snowy, and that means snow removal on the sidewalks surrounding our building is important for all our residents. Building management simply did not ensure that snow was removed this winter.

The worst sidewalk was on Cawthra Square to the north of the building. Even after management was asked to clear the sidewalk on Cawthra Square, the snow remained, as you can see by the picture, which was taken after the request.

This is more than an inconvenience. As rent-paying tenants, we should be able to walk on sidewalks surrounding our building that are clear of snow and ice.

The building should comply with Toronto bylaws which require property owners to clear snow and ice from the sidewalks around their property within 12 hours after the end of a snowfall.
